The AANE KAROTI ECF® (Environment Conservation Foundation) was setup in the year 2005 and got registered as trust in February 2014 for the conservation and welfare of environment and wildlife. The AANE KAROTI ECF® was set up by the trustees in response to keenly felt need to provide relief to wild animals, birds and reptiles including medical facilities. The AANE KAROTI ECF® supports conservation, education and research of the wildlife with a commitment to affect positive change through the facilitation of elephant conservation and sound scientific investigation resulting in the protection of elephants for future generations.

The AANE KAROTI ECF®️ has been rendering the services to environment and wild animals under the experience and expertise of its Trustees, where in Dr. K Mekhala Kagli is a researcher in wildlife with a Ph. D. in wildlife crimes as her subject. Further follow tasks are undertaken-Conservation of environment and wildlife, Prevention of cruelty, Human Education, Information and expertise Campaigns and legal battles in support of environment and wildlife. A great deal of our understanding of animal biology, behavior, and evolution can be applied to reestablish environmental conservation and ensure the health of wild animal populations.
During fire season in summer every year, since 2005 we have been donating necessities vehicles like Jeep , Gypsy and Tata mobiles (sometimes including water tankers) in concerned forest ranges to help in patrolling fire lines inside forests and to carry forest personnel with their daily necessities in three Tiger reserves of Bandipur, Nagarholay and BRT.
A great deal of efforts are being put in to collect native Indian breed of cows and conserving their breeds. We run a Goshala for this purpose and have been rescuing male calfs and old bulls from being sold to slaughterhouse in Mysuru at Nanjangud Goshala.
From time to time at regular intervals initiatives are undertaken to spread environmental conservation awareness at schools in particular and in conservation programs conducted at Zoos and on Wildlife Conservation Week program in Mysuru and its surroundings.
A systematic approach is adopted to study the rogue elephant that are rescued or captured and put under training to be relocated or to be rehabilitated in three Tiger reserves of Bandipur, Nagarholay and BRT in particular.
Forest conservation is the practice of planting and maintaining forested areas for the benefit and sustainability of future generations.
In time of needs to transport forest personnel and their necessities during night patrolling and beats to Anti poaching camps, trust vehicles are donated.
Two wild elephants have entered the Bamboo Bazaar area of Mysore city in Karnataka, and have trampled a security guard to death.
Under the Swatch Bharath ABHIAN, on a regular basis we undertake trash collection and plastic picking inside the three Tiger reserves of Bandipur, Nagarholay and BRT.
One of the major and important projects undertaken by our Trust is Solar Pump installation to pump water into the water holes in forest areas of Bandipur and Nagarholay, this project was a huge success in 2015 & 2016, for which in 2017 our Trust was recognised and honoured by the then Forest Minister.
During summer every year we undertake collecting the native forest trees seeds and make them into seed balls to be used during the monsoons in forests.
Apart from the other project, we undertake initiatives on need basis to conserve environment, like during this COVID lockdown, we rescued horses those were abandoned due to closer of tourism.
